sigh no more . by mumford & sons
this london folk band references the romantic language of shakespeare's 'much ado about nothing' "love it will not betray you, dismay or enslave you. it will set you free. be more like the man you were made to be." this part of the song is very uplifting and almost spiritual. harmonising is a key aspect of their songs reinforcing strength and emotion.
i think marcus mumford is writing about how faith in his eyes is something beautiful and real. it is almost a celebratory piece. i feel it also has a hidden language of personal experience. i like how this band never fails to be expressive but always leaves room for interpretation. personally i do not express any religious belief's but i respect how some people can create amazing music through sharing their faith.
after all. this song is both beautiful, and real.
